Company Information
Saint John Laboratory Services Ltd (SJLS) is an independently locally-owned laboratory located on the west side of Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada.
SJLS is ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited and we maintain membership with the Canadian Association for Laboratory Accreditation (CALA). Our laboratory has been performing quality analysis for our clients since 1991 and this continues to be the cornerstone of our operation.
Services
Our laboratory is equipped with a variety of analytical instruments and microbiological equipment; such as
- an inductively-coupled plasma mass spectrometer (ICPMS)
- an EPA-style purge and trap gas chromatograph equipped with three detectors in tandem
- an ion chromatograph
- an atomic fluorescence spectrometer, and more.

SJLS works within a network of collaborating accredited laboratories to extend our scope of testing.
SJLS undertakes a wide range of in-house testing; including, but not limited to, analysis for drinking water, waste water, ground water, petroleum products/oils, food, soil, compost, fertilizer, lime, and the pulp and paper industry. Our clientele range from the general public to industry and environmental consulting firms and municipalities.
Our capable staff has been trained to provide onsite field-sampling in accordance with your COA requirements
